Group Purchasing Organization

The Texas Pain Society has formed a partnership with PedsPal, a national GPO that has a successful history of negotiating better prices on medical supplies and creating value-added services for independent physicians. Membership is free: The participating vendor partners pay PedsPal administrative fees. These fees do not increase your product cost; rather, they are borne by the vendors as a sales cost. Visit pedspal.org/membership for more information and to sign up, or complete the specialty doctor form and send it in as directed, selecting "Texas Pain Society" when enrolling.

How does this group purchasing program work?

PedsPal uses the buying power of over 7,500 members to negotiate national discounts with vendor partners. They use your completed applications to have the vendor's link your account to their prices. You order and receive products just as you do today but at their much lower prices.

A great example is GE's Omnipaque. Through an exclusive agreement with GE, members who qualify and commit to purchase at least 80% of their contrast from GE pay only $6.74 per dose for Omnipaque 50mL + Pak (Henry Schein item 1089526)! See more samples here

How is PedsPal different from other group purchasing organizations?

  • Created by physicians to help other physicians
  • Outstanding service
  • Vaccine reimbursement advice and expanded vaccine supply options
  • Improved vaccine storage solutions
  • Strategic partnerships with medical societies and groups to help fund their growth
