Texas Pain Society Wraps Up 2025 + Looks Ahead To 2026

Another year has come and gone, and we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the success the Texas Pain Society has seen in 2025, as well as thank our members for being a part of it all…

tps txlegeWe started off strong with a virtual CME event on February 27: Statewide Discussion Of Challenges Pain Physicians Are Facing With Opioids. Thank you to all of our speakers and attendees.

As usual, much time was spent advocating for the pain medicine industry. Drs. Lakshmi Koyyalagunta, Gulshan Doulatram, Stephanie Jones, Allen Dennis, Mitch Engle, Tim Zoys, and Baominh Vinh met with numerous legislative offices in February, March, and April, discussing appropriate pain management care and the unique needs of pain patients in Texas.

In May, TPS participated in the Texas Medical Association's annual TexMed meeting; find all the details here.Texas Pain Society at Texas Medical Association TexMed meeting

We held our inaugural Pain Fellow's Day on September 27, featuring insight from experts on topics such as healthcare policy and scope of practice.

Our 17th Annual Scientific Conference was October 24-26 in The Woodlands; thank you to all of our speakers and members for coming together to make this another memorable and amazing meeting, and make sure your calendars are marked for next year’s, happening October 23-25 in Grapevine, Texas!

Along the way, TPS shared industry news, awareness dates, regulatory/legislative updates, and other important pieces of information through newsletters, blog posts, surveys, networking events,  social media posts, and educational events. We are proud to represent the practice of pain medicine in Texas, and we couldn’t do it without YOU.

Thank you to everyone for helping to make this year a success, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for 2026…Stay Tuned + Happy Holidays!
